Discount God of War
God of War is not only great because it is a bloody action/adventure game with plenty of bad guys to slaughter, but it also includes many puzzles. This is the first video game I have ever played where you have to solve puzzles to be able to advance. I'm not talking puzzles like putting blocks in order from lowest to highest (1,2,3,4,5), they are actually pretty hard. A lot of them involve strategic thinking and puzzle solving abilities.
Of course, there is a ton of bloody combat where you can castrate your enemies. Every time you kill one, you get orbs, which can be used to buy upgrades. The story is pretty interesting too. You are Kratos, a Spartan who wants to kill the God of War because he betrayed you. You go on your quest and battle numerous enemies and solve many puzzles. And in the end, you can probably guess what happens.
I would recommend this game to anyone who is old enough to witness the horrible ways of killing that occur in this game. It's not really for the weak hearted either. The same goes for the second installment of God of War. It is just as good and just as bloody.
